Liza earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary and a Bachelor’s in Theology from Colorado Christian University. As a therapist, Liza offers encouragement and support to children, individuals and families of all backgrounds and identities from a trauma-informed, expressively engaging, and holistic lens.
In her therapy practice, she blends expressive modalities such as play, sand tray, art, and movement with the sciences of attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology for an integrative healing approach.
Liza has worked with children of all ages as well as adolescents and adults in the areas of anxiety, attachment, neurodivergence, self-esteem and identity development, parenting issues, healing from abuse (verbal, physical, and sexual), family challenges, and communication skills.
Outside of work, Liza loves the beauty of nature and can be found exploring a trail or park with her husband and their rescued pup, Cookie. Liza is rejuvenated by connection with others and restful solitude. She enjoys yoga and many forms of dancing as well as making music and art which have informed her use of expressive modalities in the therapy room. Liza hopes to have the opportunity of working with you soon!
